Today we celebrate our INDEPENDENCE DAY... or just the cute clothes we wore

Did you guys ever watch Independence Day?  Not the second one that I didn't even finish sitting through, but the first one.  The one with the epic speech by Bill Pullman.  "We will not go quietly into the night! We will not vanish without a fight..." Well I'm thinking neither will my outfit. 😂

I'm putting together a few looks for your 4th of July amusement.  Whether you are going to a bbq, setting off fireworks, or sitting at home watching them on TV, you can do it in style.  Here's some looks I've got for you:

Look 1:  Party
This gorgeous dress is from Lulus- called the Home Before Daylight dress.  I'll link it Here it is $46 USD and comes in Blue too.  I love that you can dress it up or down.  I wore this to a wedding once too.  It is a comfortable and lovely dress.

Look 2: BBQ
This cute dress is from Express Factory Outlet store.  I paid $29 dollars for it.  I believe it is an in store only style but you can find similar blue striped styles at revolve, forever 21 and american eagle.

Look 3: Lake/Pool
I love this cute top I got at American Eagle.  It is comfy, I love coca cola and it is so 4th of July friendly.  You can totally wear a swim suit underneath this look so you can go from the party to the pool/beach/lake.  I got mine on sale for $12 dollars for a promo they had but it's 24.95 normally.  I'll link it Here.  The shorts are Express and my red block heels are Target.  So comfortable by the way.  By "A New Day." They are 24.99.  I'll link them Here

Look 4: A cute Romper
Rompers are the best thing to happen to clothing in a long time.  The trick is finding one that is not super long!  I have found it in this cute one from Target.  It is $24.99.  I'll link it Here.  I love that is is not too short, totally comfy and has a cute embroidered detail.  I also love that it is a figure flattering romper.  You can't see in this photo but I wore those red block heels as well with this outfit.

A wedding to remember

As we come up on my wedding date a year ago I am flooded with the memories and the insanity of that one particular day. It was one of the hottest days of the year.  I had insisted on being a June bride, understanding that this could have been a possibility and yet sucked into the hallmark concept of June.  I can blame it most likely on my yearly overdose of Hallmark Christmas movies.  Regardless I insisted June 17th, 2017 was the perfect day to be married.  It was easy to remember and it was a Saturday in June. The venue we had reserved was well within our small budget, as they claim the average wedding cost is 40k... ours was  a sliver of that.  It was a small little old country club with a big space.  A nice big space where we could set up however we wanted.  Everything was fine until we got there the day before to set up.  What we did not know at the time and the venue failed to mention was that the copper had been stripped out of t...

Self Tanning 101- How to tan at Home

I have been 50 shades of orange, which is not nearly as sexy as 50 shades of gray.  I have worn jeans in middle of summer to cover up some sort of tangerine experiment I did on my legs in the name of self tanning.  Over the countless mistakes I've made I've found some gems and have found gold, and by that I mean a golden glow.😉 *Disclaimer: I do not tan easily in the sun so Sunless Tanning is the best option for me.  All skin colors are beautiful.  Also I am not sponsored, my opinions are my own and  products purchased by me  Things you will need to achieve that I just came back from a beach vacation in my bathroom look: A good lotion- I use CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion that costs about 13 at Target but any lotion will do A makeup brush- I use the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush which is about 6 dollars and is absolutely perfect for application Either a Tanning Applicator Mitt like This one for about 6.50 or some Latex Gloves like These for...
