Pass the Popcorn! My Movie Pass Experience....

My husband and I were looking for a source of entertainment that wasn't overly costly to keep up our fun date night at a reasonable rate.  I'd heard bits and pieces of people talking about Movie Pass.  Movie pass is an app/card that you pay 9.99 a month and you can see one movie a day every day in theaters.  I thought it was too good to be true and naturally I took to the internet.  Unfortunately, tons of keyboard warriors were in uproar over this app.  They claimed to be wrongfully barred or resubscribed or whatever reason people complain about these days.  I don't know if their claims were valid but this has been my experience....      Once a week during the week, my husband and I get in the car and head to the movie theater.  Once we park we check in using the app and it loads a credit to the card you are issued be movie pass or gives you an eticket code.  We go to the counter and announce the movi...

The Better you Look the Better you Feel!

I have been terrible about keeping up my blog, which makes no sense because this is why I started the whole thing.  Isn't it typical that you go all in on an idea and get lost in the details?  Well, no more!   I want to talk about the thing that makes me feel good!  Clothes!  I am the type of person and have always been the way that if you look good you feel better.  Life has been a bit trying this month and my me time is always very important to sort that out.  I use my me time putting on makeup, fixing my hair and overdressing for the day.  😀😂 This gorgeous dress intimidated me when I first bought it from this amazing Australian website called Mura Boutique.   You probably shouldn't go there unless you want to spend money because I always find something I need.  I will say though, that they run promos all the time and as far as online Australian Boutiques, their prices are really good.  This dress...

Top 6 Spring Trends for 2018 and how to wear them

Spring is my favorite season.  First, because it means the most terrible season of all is over and I don't have to experience it for months.  Secondly, because it's pretty.  You actually see life breathed into the world again both on the ground and on your body.  I no longer emulate Casper or Wednesday Addams.  Third, the clothes are fun.  They are usually bright and exciting.  Here are some great and very wearable trends to look out for this spring: 1.  Yellow! Whoever said the color of the year  is Ultra Violet was obviously trying to make "Fetch" Happen.  I'm sorry Gretchen, Fetch isn't going to happen.  Yellow however is.  You can find a lot of muted yellows as well right now, that are flattering on tons of skin tones.   Find a cute Maxi dress like this one, or even a skirt or cardigan to brighten up your look Dress from Hello Molly  Similar Style Here  2. Polka Dots Thes...

You Spin me Right Round

Apparently I have an obsession with round things.  Maybe it started with donuts or pizza, which are two of humanity's greatest culinary inventions.  I didn't even mention cake, which is usually round.  Compacts that we carry everywhere to check for lipstick on our teeth to save us from lifelong embarrassment before a presentation, also round.   Lots of wonderful things come in the shape of a circle.  And now, there is something even better.  A round purse.  I know you've seen them.  They are all over instagram and rolling into a Target and Macys near you, pun intended.  They are the perfect crossbody companion.  Even though I can't pack my entire life in them as I often do, I truly enjoy the impracticality and utter boujeeness that I feel wearing one.  Now cue up your Alexa or Google home to play "You spin me round," and check out some of my favorites below. This gorgeous very on trend round bag was an ebay find.  It looks ...

Love you Two Pieces ....

One of my favorite trends this Spring/Summer is the matching two piece sets. You have probably seen them all over, from Target, Nordstrom, American Eagle, etc.  I love that this can be a fun top and shorts, pants or even a skirt. I've put together some of my favorite two piece outfits in the hope that at least one day in April it won't snow here in the lovely Midwest...  Yes, it is snowing today so I'm probably wearing sweatpants and staring longingly at my closet while I post this blog. Always use retailmenot.com or another coupon outlet online when shopping online!  Never pay full price! Self Tanning 101- How to tan at Home

I have been 50 shades of orange, which is not nearly as sexy as 50 shades of gray.  I have worn jeans in middle of summer to cover up some sort of tangerine experiment I did on my legs in the name of self tanning.  Over the countless mistakes I've made I've found some gems and have found gold, and by that I mean a golden glow.😉 *Disclaimer: I do not tan easily in the sun so Sunless Tanning is the best option for me.  All skin colors are beautiful.  Also I am not sponsored, my opinions are my own and  products purchased by me  Things you will need to achieve that I just came back from a beach vacation in my bathroom look: A good lotion- I use CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion that costs about 13 at Target but any lotion will do A makeup brush- I use the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush which is about 6 dollars and is absolutely perfect for application Either a Tanning Applicator Mitt like This one for about 6.50 or some Latex Gloves like These for...

The Best 2 Products Tan your Selfie

In middle school I developed the nickname, Wednesday.  In case you're not familiar it was the favorite sarcastic Addams Family character. I didn't just get the nickname due to my clever quips and raven dark hair, I developed it from my pale, pale skin.  Now of course, all skin colors are beautiful but I dreamed of a dark and tawny tan...  In fact in LA once, on set of a TV show, I was actually pulled out of a scene because my ultra pale skin was pulling the camera's attention from the main actors. I believe the phrase was something along the lines of, "Can we get Casper out of the shot please...?" Living in Los Angeles I looked around and saw all these amazing tanned people and developed an expensive Spray Tanning habit.  Spray tanning can be really pricey.  Cheaper memberships to booths can run you $80-$100 a month at least, and to have someone spray you is at least 40.  I searched and searched for the perfect items to complete this process at home......
