The Best 2 Products Tan your Selfie

In middle school I developed the nickname, Wednesday.  In case you're not familiar it was the favorite sarcastic Addams Family character. I didn't just get the nickname due to my clever quips and raven dark hair, I developed it from my pale, pale skin.  Now of course, all skin colors are beautiful but I dreamed of a dark and tawny tan...  In fact in LA once, on set of a TV show, I was actually pulled out of a scene because my ultra pale skin was pulling the camera's attention from the main actors. I believe the phrase was something along the lines of, "Can we get Casper out of the shot please...?"

Living in Los Angeles I looked around and saw all these amazing tanned people and developed an expensive Spray Tanning habit.  Spray tanning can be really pricey.  Cheaper memberships to booths can run you $80-$100 a month at least, and to have someone spray you is at least 40.  I searched and searched for the perfect items to complete this process at home... I found it.

There are two brands of Self Tanner that will get you that golden glow from the comfort of your own home and no sunshine required.  I will do a high and low price tanner.

  1. Bondi Sands Self Tanning Foam in Ultra Dark
Coupon for 20% off your first order
This Self Tanning Foam is an amazing $29 and will truly get you ultra dark.  This is for experienced tanners, so go with Dark or Medium if this is your first time.  It has a nice coconut scent but sometimes it can have a fume like smell as well.  You apply it, you sleep in it, and rinse it off in the morning.
Pros:
  • It gets you ultra tan and has a nice green cast guide so that you know the olive color is going to develop nicely
  • The price is unbeatable and they run sales a few times a year of 20-30% off
  • I get about 7 applications out of a bottle
  • Ships to you in 3 days or so
Cons:
  • It can be a tad streaky if you aren't careful, but nothing compared to other brands, still a great formula
  •  The Coconut scent is nice but sometimes it has a strong fume like scent with it
  • Sleeping in it is sticky and it does take 6 hours to develop

   2. Loving Tan 2 Hour Express Dark Tanning Mousse
This Self Tanner is  the best.  It will give you streak free color and a nice dark tan for $59.95.  You don't have to sleep in it, you can literally put it on, kill two hours and shower it off... it continues to develop for hours after.
Pros:
  • It is a Goof-Proof , no streak Application
  • I get about 7 applications out of a bottle
  • It will get you dark and there is no scent on application
  • It is comfortable to sleep in if you go to sleep in it and rinse it off in the morning (I do)
  • You have the option to rinse off after 2 hours
  • Ships to you in 3 days or so
Cons:
  • It is double the price of the Bondi Sands Tanner
  • They rarely run sales
Regardless of what you choose, these are the top two self tanners out there.  Let me know in the comments what else you've tried so I can check them out.  I'll be posting an upcoming step by step on self tanning if you all would be interested!

Keep your eye on the Target

*DISCLAIMER*- I am not sponsored,  I just like to shop ;)  Target, the store full of cute things I probably don't need.  I go in to pick up my prescriptions and if I wander, I walk out spending at least 100 dollars.  This last prescription pickup *cough* shopping trip, I found some of my new favorite things.  These are different from the favorite things I got from target last month I'm sure 🙈.  I found these amazing carmel colored Espadrille wedges that were comfortable and so cute for 32.99.  I did half size down and they were perfect.  These shoes are by Universal Thread, a new adorable trendy Target brand.  Mind you these shoes are practically a dupe for the Nordstrom Marc Fisher wedges, or the Steve Madden wedges that are 3x the price.  If you want them I'll link them here Universal Thread Target Wedges The Second Amazing find was also a Universal Thread item.  I had been coveting finding the perfect crossbody round bag....

My Jord Watch, a piece that transcends time

Cassia in Olive and Aegean Blue Linked Here Jord Wood Watches  I’m pretty sure that as soon as your cell phone is out of contract someone hits a button that causes your phone to self-destruct.   Mine has decided to not hold a charge for long, leaving me without a clue about what time it actually is.   Being late is my pet peeve.   When I used to live in Los Angeles the traffic was unbelievable and if you left late you would never make up the time.   I can literally feel my soul ripping apart at the thought of being late. So, when JORD Wood Watches approached me to pick out a watch I was instantly relieved to have an place that the time of day could be prominently displayed.   I could almost hear Scarlet O’Hara calling out “As God as my witness, I will never be Late again.”   Some people might call that dramatic but, what do they know? 😂 Cassia Series   I didn’t know I could love a watch as much as the Cassia Series in Oliv...

Pass the Popcorn! My Movie Pass Experience....

My husband and I were looking for a source of entertainment that wasn't overly costly to keep up our fun date night at a reasonable rate.  I'd heard bits and pieces of people talking about Movie Pass.  Movie pass is an app/card that you pay 9.99 a month and you can see one movie a day every day in theaters.  I thought it was too good to be true and naturally I took to the internet.  Unfortunately, tons of keyboard warriors were in uproar over this app.  They claimed to be wrongfully barred or resubscribed or whatever reason people complain about these days.  I don't know if their claims were valid but this has been my experience....      Once a week during the week, my husband and I get in the car and head to the movie theater.  Once we park we check in using the app and it loads a credit to the card you are issued be movie pass or gives you an eticket code.  We go to the counter and announce the movi...
