Trying out dresses from Jen Styles Boutique

I was so excited when I was contacted on instagram by a company called Jen Styles Boutique. Not only do they have Jen in their name they had some absolutely gorgeous dresses. I was sent two dresses for my review and so I wanted to show them to you here.

1. The Sangria Maxi Dress
The first dress is an absolutely stunning Maxi. This is called the Sangria Maxi dress.
I'll link it here: Sangria Dress
It has an open back where it ties at the waist and buttons at the back of the neck.  The material is very breathable and light.  The slit goes all the way up but it it pretty far over on the dress so I don't have to worry about it coming open on me if the wind hits.  Unfortunately, so many wrap dresses you have to safety pin down.  This is not the case with this one.  I am 5'4" and it is the perfect length with my two inch block heels which is the most wonderful purchase from target.
I'll link them here: A new day block heel
It has a stretchy waistband and if you are taller than 5'7" I would be concerned a little about length.  For reference I ordered a medium.  I believe it shipped from overseas which usually run a bit smaller in size.
This dress would be beautiful for the fall season as well with the color, paired with a pair of black or nude booties and a black leather jacket.  Here's a couple more pictures of this dress.

2. The Lace Lola Dress

The second dress is a beautiful deep v dress.  There is nice structure to the fit and it zips in the back.  There is lining to the front so a bra is not necessary if you don't want to wear a sticky bra.  This dress screams fall date night.  It is well constructed and absolutely gorgeous on.  I'm wearing a medium.
I'll link it here: Lola Lace dress in Black
My shoes are old marciano lace up heels I actually got on clearance.
Here's another shot of that lovely lace dress:

All in all, I would say the product looks like the picture and is good quality.  Just remember to size accordingly when shopping!
Feel free to check them out Jen Styles Boutique website

A wedding to remember

As we come up on my wedding date a year ago I am flooded with the memories and the insanity of that one particular day. It was one of the hottest days of the year.  I had insisted on being a June bride, understanding that this could have been a possibility and yet sucked into the hallmark concept of June.  I can blame it most likely on my yearly overdose of Hallmark Christmas movies.  Regardless I insisted June 17th, 2017 was the perfect day to be married.  It was easy to remember and it was a Saturday in June. The venue we had reserved was well within our small budget, as they claim the average wedding cost is 40k... ours was  a sliver of that.  It was a small little old country club with a big space.  A nice big space where we could set up however we wanted.  Everything was fine until we got there the day before to set up.  What we did not know at the time and the venue failed to mention was that the copper had been stripped out of t...

Self Tanning 101- How to tan at Home

I have been 50 shades of orange, which is not nearly as sexy as 50 shades of gray.  I have worn jeans in middle of summer to cover up some sort of tangerine experiment I did on my legs in the name of self tanning.  Over the countless mistakes I've made I've found some gems and have found gold, and by that I mean a golden glow.😉 *Disclaimer: I do not tan easily in the sun so Sunless Tanning is the best option for me.  All skin colors are beautiful.  Also I am not sponsored, my opinions are my own and  products purchased by me  Things you will need to achieve that I just came back from a beach vacation in my bathroom look: A good lotion- I use CeraVe Daily Moisturizing Lotion that costs about 13 at Target but any lotion will do A makeup brush- I use the E.L.F. Ultimate Blending Brush which is about 6 dollars and is absolutely perfect for application Either a Tanning Applicator Mitt like This one for about 6.50 or some Latex Gloves like These for...

Trying out Two Sweet Birds Boutique

I was contacted by the lovely Tammy from Two Sweet Birds to try out a few of their products and I wanted to share them with you.  Two Sweet Birds is an online boutique featuring clothing, home decor and accessories, with a handful of beautiful items for each category.  The three items I'm reviewing our below: 1. The Daphne Rhinestone Cuff Bracelet Daphne Rhinestone Cuff Bracelet 9.99 Linked Here This gorgeous bracelet slips on easily and is very flexible.  It is extremely lightweight and is dainty enough to go with anything.  It is also Lead and Nickel Free.  I love how versitile it is that  it can dress up an outfit or just add a small sparkle to a casual look.  It is also one of the few bracelets to ever fit me.  I have a fairly small wrist and it sits nicely on my arm. 2. Cecelia Blue Embroidered Tiered Dress Cecelia Blue Embroidered Tiered Dress.  Currently on sale for 39.99.  Linked Here This dress is absolutely ...
